The Great Ocean Road, Victoria Coast

Welcome to the Great Ocean Road, the Sand Coast, and also to the Shipwreck Coast(these are all names for this gorgeous but dangerous coastline)! This strip of highway was built after WWII to increase tourism in Victoria, Australia. I took a tour from Melbourne to Adelaide...it was fabulous (however, a little cold and rainy at times - hey it is winter down under!).

You think I'm strong enough to move this sand monolith? Unlikely.
12 Apostles at sunset - luminous!

London Bridge - Recently as of June 2009, what connected the left part of London Bridge to the very left cliff collapsed...soon enough all of these limestone stacks will all collapse. The cycle will start all over again. Very interestingly beautiful, I thought.
We stopped in to visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre where I bought some postcards and art. Unfortunately the Aboriginal people have an extremely sad recent history.

Mackenze Falls - we walked down and the hike back up almost killed all of us! Not kidding, it was a extremely steep uphill.

Good thing I didn't run into this spider's web! It was really lovely though, in a kind of creepy-crawly way.

These are (as you can guess) white kangaroos - they were the laziest kangaroos I'd ever seen!!! They really were not trying to impress anyone around here.

A red-chested wallaby in this video, and we happened to walk upon her path.
